Ta Surat-o Piwand-i Jahan Bud (Ali Bud)

Before the universe took its form, Ali was there;

Before the earth was etched or time existed, Ali was there.

The King who was the Friend of God (Wali) and the Legatee (Wasi) was Ali;

The Sovereign of generosity, mercy, and grace was Ali.

With Adam, Sheth, Idris, and Ayyub;

With Yusuf, Yunus, and Hud—Ali was there.

With Musa and Issa, with Khidr and Ilyas;
